Overhang Recommendations
Front Edge - We recommend a minimum overhang of 1-5/16"
to the front of your countertop.
Profiled Edge - The exposed edge should have a minimum of
1/2" overhang, but can extend as far out as desired. If your overhang is to exceed
12", extra support is required.
Straight Edge - This will include all edges that meet a wall
or appliance. No overhang is necessary or suggested at this point.
Radius Corners - For each inch of radius you should include
an additional inch of overhang to your measurements.
Clipped Corners - For each inch of clipping you should include
an additional inch of overhang to your measurements.
Example - A 36" cabinet with an
exposed left side and a range on the right will need no less than 36-1/2" of countertop.
Without support, 48" of countertop can be used.
